Building Inclusion in the
Sciences Through Research

Converge gathers, expands, disseminates and utilizes knowledge related to human resource development and human capital in the biomedical, behavioral science and high demand science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Of particular interest are groups that are traditionally underrepresented in these fields.

Converge generates knowledge through:

  • Conducting rigorous, theory-based scientific research
  • Linking policy and practice with scientific evidence
  • Engaging multidisciplinary stakeholders

Knowledge is created by Converge to advance social equity, inclusive excellence and economic competitiveness.

“If we are to achieve a richer culture, rich in contrasting values, we must recognize the whole gamut of human potentialities, and so weave a less arbitrary social fabric, one in which each diverse human gift will find a fitting place.”

Margaret Mead
